I’ve seen tons of recipes on dairy free ice cream but this is the first time I’ve given it a shot and I’m totally hooked. I ate frozen yogurt the other day and felt an instant bloat and I quickly remembered that I had bookmarked some dairy free ice cream recipes. Of course I went for a chocolate flavour here, but you can change up the mix-ins if you’ve got a different flavour profile in mind!
Makes 2 servings.
What you'll need:
•2 large bananas (frozen and sliced)
•2 tbsp tahini
•3 tbsp cacao
•1 tbsp maple syrup
•2 pitted dates
•1 tsp vanilla extract
•Pinch of sea salt
What you'll need to do:
1. Place frozen bananas in a high speed blender or food processor and blend until there are no solid banana pieces left.
2. Add in the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
3. Enjoy immediately as soft serve or scoop into a container and freeze for 2 hours until frozen solid. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop into bowls.
If this doesn’t scream summer, I don’t know what does!
