Sweet & Savoury Sweet Potato Toast

Back with another rendition of sweet and savoury foods, I finally tried out sweet potato toast! They’re basically like an avocado toast...sub out the bread for sweet potato...and sometimes get rid of the avocado altogether. So maybe they’re nothing like an avocado toast. But you get my point.⁣


This is such an easy and versatile recipe that works great for breakfast or a midday snack. Wash your sweet potato, slice lengthwise into 1/4 inch thick slices and bake on a parchment paper lined baking sheet at 400F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and top with your toppings of choice once the toasts have cooled down.⁣

Here are some topping suggestions:⁣

🍳 BREAKFAST: Tomato slices, avocado slices, hard boiled egg & chilli flakes⁣

🥑 LUNCH: Smashed avocado, crispy chickpeas & sriracha drizzle⁣

🥜 DESSERT: Natural peanut butter, banana, cacao nibs & coconut flakes⁣

🍯 SNACK: Tahini, blueberries & sliced toasted almonds⁣
