I woke up one morning and was craving something super chocolatey and remembered the classic banana and chocolate milkshake combination. Here's a healthier version of that beverage and this one is great for breakfast or post-workout as a snack.
If you’ve been following along for a while, you already know that I love chocolate casein protein powder as it’s slow digesting and keeps you full for longer. Casein is great in a breakfast smoothie or before bed as a treat. If you have a different type of protein powder at home, give it a try in this smoothie and it should still turn out great!
What you'll need:
•1/2 frozen banana
•1 scoop chocolate casein protein powder
•1 tbsp cacao
•1 cup almond milk
•1 tbsp natural peanut butter
•Ice cubes (5-6 cubes)
Blend all the ingredients in your blender and top with more ice! You can add more almond milk or water if you like your smoothie on the thinner side. This ones a keeper! 🍌
